Wow. Has it been 10 days since I last posted? Writing is definitely not like riding. No matter what the circumstance, I could put in the miles and the goals were very quantitative. I may put in the time with writing but the outcome is measured much differently. Saying that I wrote x number of words or that I spent 1 - 2 hours doing research doesn't translate well into a posting. At least, I'm not going to try and put my creative energy into making that seem interesting as I much prefer to funnel it toward the novel.
But an update seemed in order. Scene V is coming along and it's a rather challenging one in that it contains a lot of information and, thus, work has to be done on it so that the scene doesn't come off as if it's all it's doing is trying to convey information. And, I have indeed been doing a lot of research, mostly on parrots, as I have never owned one. I did have a parakeet when I was 10.
So, here's hoping that I will have Scene V within the next couple of days.
