7 March 2012: A Rumination

The other day I was talking with Pat Murray, who holds the record for the most separate rides with me during the 2011 journey, and he asked, "How long does it take to write a novel?"  I thought about this for a moment, thinking about my writing pace and how I hoped to get the novel completed this year.  "About the same amount of time as riding 10,000 miles," I finally said.
